As the number of calls for our assistance grows, so does our
need for new members. Our current membership is divided
into two catagories: Active and Associate. Each category
or class of membership has its own requirements that have to
be met.
- Active Membership is broken down into 4 catagories:
- Operational - These individuals are the members
that run emergency calls and must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be certified in CPR and basic First Aid. Both
classes are held in the station on an as needed basis.
- Attend the monthly meeting unless excused by the
President for reasons such as working, sickness, or any other
emergency.
- Assist in fundraising events throughout
the year.
- Attend monthly training classes held in the station
unless excused by the Chief for reasons such as working, sickness, or any other
emergency.
- Assist in work parties held throughout
the year.
- Administrative - These individuals are members
who don't wish to be Operational Members or are unable to meet
the requirements but wish to be an Active Member and must meet
the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Attend the monthly meeting unless excused by the
President for reasons such as working, sickness, or any other
emergency.
- Assist in fundraising events throughout
the year.
- Assist in work parties held throughout
the year.
- Juniors - These individuals are members that
run emergency calls within the junior member guidelines and must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 14 years old. Only members who
are 16 years old are allowed to respond to emergency calls.
- Be certified in CPR and basic First Aid. Both
classes are held in the station on an as needed basis.
- Attend a bi-monthly meeting unless working, sick,
etc.
- Assist in fund raising events throughout the year.
- Attend training classes held in the station unless
working, sick, etc.
- Assist in work parties held throughout the year.
- Must maintain an over all 2.0 Grade Point Average
(GPA) in school.
- Must stay enrolled in school until they reach the
age of 18 or until they graduate, which ever comes first.
- Auxiliary - These individuals are members that
support the operations of the fire department through various
means and must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Assist in fund raising events throughout the year.
- Attend the monthly auxiliary meeting unless working, sick,
etc.
- Associate Membership - These individuals are the members
that don't qualify as active members but have training or special
skills that they wish to donate to the fire department.
They must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- All new members must complete a three month probationary
period.
- All members, with the exception Junior Members,
must complete a police background check and a DMV check prior
to being accepted as full members.
- Any Junior member wishing to become an Active
Member must also complete a police background check and a DMV
check prior to being accepted as full members
